One of Dixie and Willie’s sisters, Megan has developed K9 Spinal Meningitis. (also known as, or more correctly known as GME). Shes a real cutie pie, I’ve included some pictures of her below. About 50% of dogs recover to some degree, following a battery of of steroid injections. It came on over a few days, which is normal, and it’s cause isn’t known, its quite rare. She’s at a specialist/neurologist in Dallas for 2 days of steroid injections. The disease manifest itself kind of like Alzheimer’s, she is disoriented, pretty much non responsive, paces, only making right turns, all the time. It’s quite sad. Anyway, please say a prayer for Megan, she’s about 4 1/2 years old.
So sorry to hear about Megan. Will say a prayer and hope for the very best for her. Good luck.
My little Boston Terrier goes to a Dallas internist 3 times a month to have fluid drained from her abdomen resulting from her progressive heart failure and I know how you must feel.
Very sorry to hear about Megan, we will keep her in our prayers.
Oh I am so sorry to hear that, she is so cute. I have never heard of that, it sounds awful. I will keep her in my prayers. God Bless.
So sorry to hear about your sweet beautiful puppy. I sure hope she pulls through.
We adopted one this weekend who looks a lot like Megan. Baron was abused and neglected. We took him to the vet and learned he was around 8 years old (seller had said 2 years), most of his teeth were infected and rotted and he had yeast infections in both ears. He is very afraid. We are taking him in for surgery this week to take care of all his problems. Any good advise or helpful hints would be appreciated.
Best of luck with Megan.

Will keep Megan in my prayers… Lucy and Heidi looked at her pictures tonight and said they would put her in their doggie prayers. Serious illnesses are the pits. These little guys are just angels – such personalities and souls that touch our lives. It is very hard walking the tough road with them, but we’ll stay positive that Megan will make a full recovery. 🙂
Best to you all,
Lisa, Lucy and Heidi
